Each plant part has a job that helps the whole plant live, grow, and reproduce.

From roots to flower
- Roots
- Anchor the plant and absorb water and nutrients.
- Stem
- Supports the plant and carries materials between roots and leaves.
- Leaves
- Capture light and exchange gases with the air.
- Flowers
- Contain structures such as stamens and pistils that help make seeds.
- Fruit and seeds
- Fruit protects seeds, and seeds can grow into new plants.
